Profile

Opened in 1966, as a 1000 seat single screen venue, the Cinema West was Edwards’ third Orange County location. The theatre was later expanded to four screens in order to stay competitive against two UA multiplexes located at the nearby Westminister mall.

By the 1990’s, the property had begun to fall in to disrepair and the entire shopping center was razed in 1991, making way for a new center that opened in the winter of 1992. Edwards’ Westminister 10 now stands in close proximity to the original theatre site.
