Profile
The Rialto was a theatre that came and went with the silent era of film. Located in downtown Fullerton, the building is listed as being constructed in 1905, with use as a cinema coming around 1917. In 1925, the ornate Alician Court Theatre (better known as the Fox Fullerton) was constructed down the street, drawing audiences away from the modest Rialto. To combat declining attendance, the theatre was briefly run as a discount house, until beig closed in 1928. In 1930, the building was remodeled in to the First National Trust Bank. The site was later converted in to retail and remains in this configuration to the present day.
